The batsmen could not score enough in the first ODI against Australia. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah led the team in the end. Naseem Shah scored 40 off 39 balls including four sixes.

Naseem Shah was playing aggressively, his hits resulted in two broken bats. His stroke rhythm was not maintained due to bat breakage and change, so he could not make a half century.

Abdullah Shafiq could not play a big innings due to fever while Saeem Ayub could score only one.
