Shami Silva got the presidency of Asian Cricket Council instead of Mohsin Naqvi.

After ICC Chairman Jay Shah, the chairmanship of Asian Cricket Council got Shami Silva instead of Mohsin Naqvi. Head of Sri Lankan Cricket Board Shami Silva has taken charge of the interim president of Asian Cricket Council

According to sources, Shami Salva will chair the council till the general meeting next month, after the meeting Mohsin Naqvi will be made permanent president as it was agreed to give the next chairmanship to Pakistan in the last annual meeting. The general meeting is likely to be held in January 2025. The post of Asian Cricket Council became vacant after Jay Shah became the ICC chairman.
