Mohammad Rizwan Joins St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in CPL 2025

by Shahrooz Ahmad

Mohammad Rizwan has signed with St Kitts and Nevis Patriots for the rest of the Caribbean Premier League 2025. He replaces Fazalhaq Farooqi, who has joined Afghanistan ahead of the UAE tri-series. It will be Rizwan’s first appearance in the CPL, after being left out of Pakistan’s T20 squad for the tri-series and Asia Cup.

The wicketkeeper-batter, already set to play in Australia’s Big Bash League later this year, has now completed his quota of two overseas T20 leagues allowed by the PCB. His signing adds to a growing Pakistani presence in the CPL, with Naseem Shah, Abbas Afridi, Usama Mir, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Amir, and Salman Irshad also taking part. The Patriots, CPL winners in 2017 and 2021, are struggling this season with three losses in four matches.
