Women’s World Cup: Australia Becomes First Team to Reach Semi-Finals by Defeating Bangladesh.

Australia defeated Bangladesh by 10 wickets in the ICC Women’s World Cup to book a place in the semi-finals of the mega event. Australia chased down the target of 199 runs in the 25th over without any loss. Alyssa Healy scored 113 runs and Litchfield remained unbeaten on 84 runs.

Bangladeshi batsmen could not play openly against Australia, wickets fell continuously. However, the Bangladesh team scored 198 runs for 9 wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. Rabia Haider scored 44 runs while Sobhana Mostari played an unbeaten innings of 66 runs.

Chasing 199 runs, Australia’s Alyssa Healy and Litchfield batted brilliantly. Alyssa scored her second consecutive century in the event. Both openers guided their team to a 10-wicket victory in the 25th over. With this success, the Australian team became the first team to reach the semi-finals of the current World Cup. It should be noted that Australia is in first position on the Women’s World Cup points table with 9 points from 5 matches. England is second, South Africa is third and India is fourth.
