Spinner Asif Afridi, who made his debut in the Pindi Test against South Africa, broke the 92-year-old record of England’s Charles Marriott. Left-arm spinner Asif Afridi became the oldest cricketer to take 5 wickets on debut.

Before him, England’s Charles Marriott took 5 wickets on debut in 1933 at the age of 37 years and 332 days. Asif Afridi was 38 years and 299 days old at the start of the Rawalpindi Test.
