New Zealand Batters Set Record for the Highest Opening Partnership in World Test Championship History.

New Zealand cricket team openers Devon Conway and Tom Latham have created a new record in the World Test Championship. The final match of the three-match Test series between New Zealand and the West Indies is being played at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. On the first day of the Test match, New Zealand won the toss and chose to bat, where openers Devon Conway and Tom Latham delivered a brilliant performance and etched their names in history.

At the end of the first day, New Zealand had scored 334 runs for the loss of just one wicket. Devon Conway remained unbeaten on 178 runs, while his opening partner and captain Tom Latham played a fine innings of 137 runs. During this innings, Conway and Latham set the record for the highest opening partnership in the history of the World Test Championship. The duo added 323 runs for the first wicket against the West Indies, which is now the biggest opening stand ever in World Test Championship history.
