PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has stated that Indian players repeatedly provoked Pakistani players during the Under-19 Asia Cup final, and that the matter is being reported to the ICC. Speaking to the media in Islamabad during a reception hosted by the Prime Minister in honor of the Asian Under-19 champion team, Mohsin Naqvi said that politics and sports should be kept separate. He added that once again Indian players engaged in provocative behavior, and the ICC is being informed about it.

Pakistan Under-19 cricket team mentor Sarfaraz Ahmed said that India’s conduct on the field was far from appropriate and that the Indian team adopted an unsportsmanlike attitude. He said that Pakistan celebrated the victory in the true spirit of sportsmanship, adding that the team delivered an outstanding performance and demonstrated excellent teamwork. He further emphasized that along with competition, ethics and respect should always be given top priority in cricket. It is worth mentioning that in the Asian Cricket Council Under-19 Asia Cup final played in Dubai on Sunday, Pakistan defeated India by a massive margin of 191 runs to lift the trophy.
