In the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, New Zealand defeated the United Arab Emirates by 10 wickets. In the Group D match played in Chennai, UAE batted first and scored 173 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. For UAE, Muhammad Waseem scored 66 runs while Ali Shan Sharafu added 55. Matt Henry took two wickets for New Zealand.
In reply, New Zealand openers Tim Seifert and Finn Allen played aggressive innings and chased down the target of 174 runs without losing a wicket in the 16th over. Tim Seifert scored 89 runs, while Finn Allen remained unbeaten on 84. With this victory, New Zealand secured their second consecutive win of the tournament.
