For Australia, Michael Nasser got 5, Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland got 2 each, while Brendan Doggett got one wicket. Australia was given a target of 65 runs to win, which they achieved with the loss of 2 wickets. Travis Head was dismissed for 22 and Jack Weatherold for 17 runs. Captain Steve Smith was out for 23 and Marnus Labuschagne was not out for 3 runs.
The Australian batsmen performed a phenomenal feat in the innings, with all 11 batsmen entering double figures, which happened for the first time in the history of the Ashes. Earlier, the Australian team had achieved this feat against India in 1948 and then against Sri Lanka in 1992. But this was the first time in the Ashes series played between England and Australia since 1882 that all 11 Australian batsmen entered double figures.
