Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 8 runs in the second match of the 3-match T20 series to take a decisive 2-0 lead in the series. Pakistan won the toss and elected to bowl first in the second T20 match played at the Sher Bangla Stadium in Mirpur.
Bangladesh were bowled out for 133 runs off the last ball of the stipulated 20 overs, with Zakir Ali playing an innings of 55 runs. For Pakistan, Salman Mirza, Abbas Afridi and Ahmed Daniyal got 2 wickets each, while Faheem Ashraf and Muhammad Nawaz got one wicket each.
In response to Bangladesh’s target of 134 runs, the entire Pakistan team was dismissed for 125 runs in the last over. No batsman from Pakistan could stay on the wicket except Faheem Ashraf, who played an innings of 51 runs off 32 balls. Apart from them, Abbas Afridi scored 19 runs and Daniyal scored 17 runs.
Shariful Islam and Mehidy Hasan took got 3 and 2 wickets respectively for Bangladesh. One change was made in the national team today, with Ahmed Daniyal replacing Abrar Ahmed.
