Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by 4 wickets in the first match of the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup T20 tournament. The first match of the Super Four stage of Group B of the Asia Cup T20 tournament played in Dubai, Bangladesh won the toss against Sri Lanka and decided to field first.

Sri Lanka, batting first, scored 168 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. For Sri Lanka, Dasan Shanaka remained unbeaten on 63 runs. Kusal Mendis scored 34, Nissanka 22 and Asalanka 21 runs. For Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman got three wickets.

Bangladesh achieved the target of 169 runs after an exciting contest in the last over for the loss of 6 wickets. For Bangladesh, Saif Hasan scored 61 runs and Tohid Hardoi scored 58 runs. Captain Liton Das scored 23 runs and Shamim Hasan scored 14 runs.
