England beat India by 22 runs in a thrilling match in the Lord’s Test

In the third Test of the 5-match Test series played at Lord’s, England defeated India by 22 runs after an exciting and thrilling match. In the Test match, England scored 387 runs in the first innings, while India also scored 387 runs in the first innings. In the second innings, the England team was dismissed for 192 runs.

India were given a target of 193 runs to win the match and on the last day, India needed another 135 runs and England 6 wickets to win. However, the Indian team was bowled out for 170 runs in its second innings.

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja put up a lot of resistance but could not save India from defeat. He played an unbeaten innings of 61 runs and KL Rahul scored 39 runs. Apart from him, no other batsman could withstand the English bowlers.

In India’s second innings, captain Ben Stokes took three wickets for 48 and Jofra Archer took three wickets each for 55 runs, with Brydon Carr taking two wickets. England took a two-one lead in the five-Test series.
