ICC Test Rankings: Pakistani Spinners Shine, Others Slip

The latest ICC Test rankings have seen significant changes, with Pakistani spinners Noman Ali and Sajid Khan making notable gains. However, several prominent Pakistani players experienced a decline in their rankings due to underwhelming performances.Noman Ali’s impressive 16-wicket haul in the recent Test series against the West Indies propelled him to a career-best fifth position in the ICC Test bowler rankings. He gained a remarkable 806 rating points, showcasing his exceptional skills as a left-arm spinner.

Sajid Khan, who took 15 wickets in the same series, climbed two spots to 21st with 644.However, not all Pakistani players shared the same success.

Shaheen Afridi, the star left-arm pacer, fell one spot to 22nd with 641 points. In the ICC Test batter rankings, Saud Shakeel experienced a slight dip, falling one position to ninth with 739 points.

Babar Azam’s struggles in the West Indies series saw him drop three spots to 19th. Agha Salman also saw a significant fall, dropping five places to 32nd with 592 points.

Shan Masood and Imam-ul-Haq also experienced drops, falling seven and two places to 49th and 51st, respectively.

The only bright spot for Pakistan in the ICC Test batter rankings was Mohammad Rizwan, who showed resilience with the bat and moved up two places to 15th.Overall, the latest ICC Test rankings reflect the mixed fortunes of Pakistani players in the recent series against the West Indies.
