Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 74 runs in the third and final match of the 3-match T20 series. Chasing a target of 179 runs, Bangladesh were all out for 104 runs. Host Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field against Pakistan in the match played in Mirpur.
Pakistan, batting first, scored 178 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Opener Sahibzada Farhan top-scored for Pakistan with 63 runs. Hassan Nawaz scored 33, Mohammad Nawaz scored 27 and Saim Ayub scored 21 runs. For Bangladesh, Taskin Ahmed got 3 wickets and Naseem Ahmed got 2 wickets while Mohammad Saifuddin scored 35 runs.
It should be noted that 5 changes were made in the Bangladesh team while 2 changes were made in the national team. Sahibzada Farhan and Hussain Talat were included in the Pakistani team in the third match. Before this match, Bangladesh had a 0-2 lead in the 3-match T20 series.
