Pakistan easily defeated South Africa by 9 wickets in the second T20I to level the series 1-1. Pakistan achieved South Africa’s target of 111 runs for the loss of one wicket. In the match played in Lahore, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and invited South Africa to bat first.
South Africa’s batting line-up against Pakistan struggled from the start, with no batter able to stay on the pitch for long and wickets falling one after the other. Thanks to Pakistan’s excellent bowling, the entire South African team was dismissed for 110 runs in the last over of the inning.
Dewald Brewis scored 25 and Donon Ferreira scored 15. Faheem Ashraf bowled brilliantly for Pakistan, Salman Mirza got 3 wickets. Naseem Shah got 2 wickets and Abrar Ahmed got 1 wicket.
Pakistan achieved South Africa’s target of 111 runs in the 14th over for the loss of one wicket. Sahibzada Farhan was dismissed for 28 runs for the Green Shirts. Saim Ayub remained unbeaten on 71 runs off 38 balls and Babar remained unbeaten on 11 runs. The series decider will be played tomorrow in Lahore.
