Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team will be Played ICC World Cup for the Sixth Time.

The ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers featured teams from host Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh, Thailand, Scotland and Ireland. The tournament, held on a single league basis, was held in Lahore from 9 to 19 April 2025.

Led by fast bowler Fatima Sana, the Pakistan team won all its matches, while Bangladesh and West Indies won 3 matches each. However, Bangladesh’s team won the World Cup for the second time on the basis of a better “run average”.

Teams from defending champions Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, England, New Zealand, Pakistan and hosts India will be eligible to play in the event to be played from September 29 to October 26, 2025.

The first edition of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup was held in England in 1975, this time the 13th edition of the ICC Women’s World Cup will be held in India. The Pakistan women’s cricket team has qualified to play the ICC Women’s World Cup for the sixth time. For the first time, the Pakistan team participated in the World Cup held in India in 1997 and secured the last position among the eleven teams.

 

In 2009, the Pakistan team finished fifth in the Australia World Cup. In the 2013, 2017 and 2022 ICC Women’s World Cups, the Pakistan women’s cricket team finished eighth and last in the eight-team tournament.
