In the second match of the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League, Karachi Kings defeated Quetta Gladiators by 14 runs. Chasing a target of 182 runs, the Gladiators could only score 167 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated overs. In the match played at Gaddafi Stadium, Quetta Gladiators won the toss and decided to field. Karachi Kings scored 181 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. English all-rounder Moeen Ali scored 48 runs not out off 29 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes, captain David Warner scored 35 and Mirza Saad Baig played an innings of 30 runs. Ahmed Daniyal of Quetta got three wickets and Al-Zari Joseph got two wickets.

In response to the target of Karachi Kings, Quetta openers Saud Shakeel and Shamil Hussain gave a good start of 79 runs. Shamil Hussain played an aggressive innings of 52 runs off 24 balls and Saud Shakeel scored 33 runs but the rest of the players could not compete with the excellent bowling of Karachi Kings bowlers, especially Hussain Ali. Quetta’s team could reach 167 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs and had to face defeat by 14 runs. Karachi’s Hassan Ali took four wickets for 27 runs.
