PSL 11: Top Category Auction Base Price Set at Rs 420 Million

The player auction for PSL 11 will be held on February 11, with the base price for the top category set at Rs 420 million. An HBL PSL auction workshop was held at Gaddafi Stadium, which was attended by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi as a special guest. Franchise representatives, national team players, PSL management, and PCB officials also participated in the workshop. During the workshop, detailed discussions were held regarding the number of players franchises can retain. PSL Chief Executive Officer Salman Naseer briefed participants on the framework of the auction workshop and provided a detailed explanation of the player auction process.

It was decided that the HBL PSL player auction will take place on February 11. The base prices have been set at Rs 420 million for the top category, followed by Rs 220 million, Rs 110 million, and Rs 60 million in other categories. The auction will be conducted in Pakistani rupees. In the auction, bids below Rs 110 million will increase by a minimum of Rs 2.5 million, bids below Rs 220 million will increase by Rs 5 million, bids below Rs 420 million will increase by Rs 10 million, and bids above Rs 420 million will increase by Rs 15 million. Each squad will consist of a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 20 players, including a maximum of 5 to 7 foreign players. Franchises must field at least three and no more than four foreign players in the playing XI. Each franchise is required to include two uncapped Under-23 players in the squad and at least one in the playing XI.

Players picked or retained in PSL 11 will sign a two-year contract with their franchise. A grand auction will be held after PSL 12.
