Zimbabwe, batting first, scored 169 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, Brian Bennett played a brilliant innings of 64 runs, while Tadionshe Murumani and Ryan Burrell scored 35 runs each. Sikandar Raza also played an innings of 25 runs. Except for Matt Renshaw, no player from Australia could compete with the Zimbabwean bowlers and the entire team was dismissed for 146 runs, Renshaw played an innings of 65 runs while Glenn Maxwell scored 31 runs.
