The federal government has also approved a grant allowing the Pakistan Hockey Team to participate in the Pro Hockey League. In the meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Inter-Provincial Coordination, the Secretary of the Inter-Provincial Coordination Committee was assured of the participation of the Pakistan Hockey Team in the Pro Hockey League.
On this occasion, Secretary Hockey Federation Rana Mujahid said that the Pro League is a huge event in which 10 of the world’s best teams participate. 350 million rupees are required to participate in this event. On this, Muhiuddin Wani clarified that 250 million rupees will be provided by the Ministry of Finance and 100 million rupees will be obtained from sponsors.
Talking to reporters, renowned hockey player Imad Shakeel Butt said that he is happy about the green signal to participate in pro hockey, and participation in the event will also improve the ranking of hockey. He said that we still have time to prepare for the pro hockey league, and he thanks the government for its support.
