Later, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi stated that a decision regarding Pakistan’s participation in the T20 World Cup would be made by Friday or next Monday. In a statement on the social media platform X, he said that he briefed the Prime Minister on ICC-related issues, and the Prime Minister instructed him to consider all options while resolving the matter.
According to sources, during the meeting Mohsin Naqvi informed the Prime Minister about the ICC’s double standards, stating that the ICC applies one set of rules for India and another for other countries. Sources said Mohsin Naqvi highlighted that India had refused to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy and was consequently given an alternative venue.
