First ODI: Pakistan beat South Africa by 3 wickets.

The first match of the 3 ODI series was played in Pearl, South Africa, where South Africa won the toss and decided to bat first. South Africa scored 239 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 50 overs and Pakistan scored 240 for victory Target of runs given. Pakistan achieved the set target at the loss of 7 wickets in the last over.

On behalf of South Africa, Henrik Klaasen stood out by playing an innings of 86 runs, which included 2 sixes and 7 fours. On behalf of Pakistan, Salman Ali Agha dismissed 4 players while Abrar Ahmed took 2 wickets, Saeem Ayub and Shaheen Afridi took one wicket each.

Pakistan’s first wicket fell for 2 runs when Abdullah Shafiq was out for 0. Babar Azam was out for 23 runs, Mohammad Rizwan was out for 4 runs and Kamran Ghulam was 4 runs. Opener Saeem Ayub played a brilliant innings and Agha Salman along with Together they pushed the score forward. Saeem Ayub scored his second ODI century and was dismissed for 109 runs.

 

Irfan Khan, who came after him, scored a run while Shaheen Afridi returned to the pavilion without scoring a run. Salman Ali Agha continued the innings dutifully and along with Naseem Shah took the team to victory in the last over. Agha Salman scored 82 runs while Naseem Shah also remained unbeaten on 9 runs.
