Karachi Blues Won the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Title for the 10th Time by Defeating Sialkot

Karachi Blues won the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy title. The final match played at Gaddafi Stadium, Karachi Blues defeated defending champions Sialkot by 218 runs. Karachi gave Sialkot a target of 533 runs, in response to which the entire Sialkot team was dismissed for 314 runs. Sialkot started the innings without losing 12 runs on the last day of the game and the entire team was bowled out for 314 runs. Afzal Manzoor 63, Abdullah Shafiq 59 and Hamza Nazar 56 runs stood out from Sialkot, while Karachi’s Saqib Khan got 5 wickets.

Karachi Blues won this tournament for the 10th consecutive time, while Karachi won this title for the 22nd time overall. Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi distributed prizes and trophies among the players. Abdullah Fazal was named Player of the Match, Saad Baig was named Best Wicketkeeper, Best Batter and Player of the Tournament while Multan’s Ali Usman was named Bowler of the Tournament. Karachi Blues, was given a prize money of Rs 75 lakh and a trophy. The losing team from Sialkot Region was given Rs 40 lakh.
