PSL 10: Karachi Kings beat Peshawar Zalmi by 23 runs.

In the 27th match of HBL Pakistan Super League 10, Karachi Kings defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 23 runs to qualify for the playoffs. In the match played in Rawalpindi, Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and decided to field against Karachi Kings.

Karachi Kings, batting first, scored 237 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Karachi Kings captain David Warner scored 86 runs and James Vince scored 72 runs. Khushdil Shah scored 43 and Mohammad Nabi remained not out on 26 runs. For Peshawar Zalmi, Luke Wood dismissed 2 players, Ali Raza and Arif Yaqoob got one wicket each.

In response to the target of 238 runs, Peshawar Zalmi’s team could score 214 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. Babar Azam and Saim Ayub were the top scorers for Peshawar Zalmi, scoring 94 and 47 runs respectively.

Karachi Kings have qualified for the playoffs after the victory, while Quetta Gladiators have already qualified for the playoffs. Islamabad United have 10 points after 9 matches, while Lahore Qalandars have 9 points after 9 matches and Multan Sultans have been eliminated from the event.
