The match between Zimbabwe and Ireland was to be played in Pallekele, but the match was called off due to rain and both teams got one point each. Zimbabwe needed just one point to reach the Super 8 stage and now has 5 points after 3 matches in Group B.
In Group B, the Australian team had only 2 points after two failures in three matches, due to which the Kangaroos were out of the World Cup race as Sri Lanka has already reached the Super 8 from Group B.
