Durban: In the first match of the series of T20 matches, South Africa gave Pakistan a target of 184 runs to win, in response to which the national team scored 172 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.
From the South African side, David Miller was outstanding with 82 and George Linde with 48 runs. Henrik Klaasen scored 12, Hendricks 8 and Ferreira got out with 7 runs. For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi and Abrar Ahmed took 3 and 3 wickets, while Abbas Afridi took 2 and Sufyan dismissed one player.
Pakistan captain Muhammad Rizwan scored 74 runs off 62 balls, Saim Ayub scored 31 runs and Tayyab Tahir scored 18 runs. Babar Azam was dismissed for zero while no other Pakistani player could enter double figures. For South Africa, George Linde took 4 wickets, Mphaka took 2 wickets, Otniel Baartman and Andle Sumlin took 1 wicket each.
