The match was played in Colombo, where Oman batted first against Zimbabwe and were bowled out for 103 runs on the fifth ball of the final over. For Oman, Vinayak Shukla scored 28 runs while Sufiyan Mahmood contributed 25 runs. From Zimbabwe, Muzarabani, Richard Ngarava, and Brad Evans claimed three wickets each.
In reply, Zimbabwe achieved the target in the 14th over with the loss of just two wickets. Brian Bennett scored 48 runs, while Brendan Taylor added 31 runs for Zimbabwe. Earlier, in the first match of the day, Scotland defeated Italy by 73 runs. Scotland posted 207 runs for the loss of four wickets while batting first, and in response, Italy were bowled out for 134 runs in the 17th over.
