According to the details, the selection of 15 member squad and 11 member team will be done by the five member selection committee. However, the captain and head coach can be consulted but they will not have voting power or autonomous authority.

Aqib Javed, Azhar Ali, Hasan Cheema, Aleem Dar and Asad Shafiq will be the members of the five-members selection committee that will select the fifteen-member team.

In other words,  the Pakistan Cricket Board has reduced the number of members of the selection committee from seven to five. The authority of the head coach and captain has been abolished.
