Pakistan defeated Afghanistan by 75 runs thanks to Mohammad Nawaz’s devastating bowling in the final of the tri-nation T20 series. In the final of the tri-nation T20 series played in Sharjah, Pakistan won the toss and elected to bat against Afghanistan.
Pakistan, batting first, scored 141 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Fakhar Zaman scored 27 runs, Mohammad Nawaz scored 25 runs and Salman Agha scored 24 runs for Pakistan. Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan got 3 wickets, Noor Ahmed and Fazalul Haq Farooqui got 2 wickets each.
All the players from Afghanistan were dismissed after scoring 66 in 14 overs. Only two players managed to score in double figures. Mohammad Nawaz got five wickets, Abrar Ahmed got two, Sufyan Mustaqim got two and Shaheen Shah Afridi got one wicket. Mohammad Nawaz also make a hattrick of wickets.
