Under-19 World Cup: England Defeat Australia to Reach the Final

England qualified for the final of the Under-19 World Cup after defeating Australia in the first semi-final of the tournament. In the match, England beat Australia by 27 runs. Batting first, England scored 277 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Captain Thomas Rew played a brilliant innings of 110 runs, while Caleb Falconer contributed 40 runs.

In reply to a target of 278 runs, Australia were bowled out for 250 runs in the 48th over. Captain Oliver Peake scored a century, while Nitesh Samuel made 47 runs and Aryan Sharma added 34. For England, James Minto, Sebastian Morgan, Ralphie Albert and Manny Lumsden took two wickets each. The second semi-final of the event will be played tomorrow between the Under-19 teams of India and Afghanistan.
