India has given clearance to the Pakistani team for the Asia Cup hockey tournament. According to Indian media, the Indian Home Ministry and the Ministry of External Affairs have given clearance to the Pakistani team for the Asia Cup hockey tournament to be held in India next month.
In this regard, the Sports Ministry says that they are not against Pakistan-India matches in international tournaments, international competitions demand that we cannot back down from these matches.
The Indian Sports Ministry further said that they will not stop the Pakistan hockey team from participating in the Asia Cup. It should be noted that the Asia Cup hockey tournament will be played in Rajgirbahar from August 27 to September 7.
