Riyadh (Kamran Ashraf) – HRH Prince Fahad bin Jalawi bin Abdul Aziz bin Musaed, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee for the Riyadh 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games, chaired the second meeting of the Coordination Committee on Sunday at the Prince Faisal bin Fahd Olympic Complex in Riyadh.
The meeting comes as preparations intensify for the Games, scheduled to be held in Riyadh from November 7 to 21, 2025.
The session was attended by Prince Abdullah bin Fahad, member of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and H.E. Mr. Abdullah bin Saad Al-Dlak, Assistant Minister of Sports, along with members of the Coordination and Supreme Organising Committees.
Discussions focused on reviewing the latest updates on the readiness of arenas that will host competitions across 23 sports, as well as logistics for receiving international delegations. The agenda also covered live broadcast arrangements, service standards for athletes, and facilities for media representatives arriving in Riyadh.
The Organising Committee reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to delivering an exceptional edition of the Games, ensuring a fully integrated experience for all participating nations.
The Supreme Organising Committee, chaired by Prince Fahad bin Jalawi, includes H.E. Badr bin Abdulrahman Al Qadi (Vice Minister of Sports), Ms. Adwaa bint Abdulrahman Al-Arifi, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Baeshen, Mr. Thamer bin Aslam Ba Sunbil, and Mr. Salman bin Fahd bin Jali.
The Coordination Committee is chaired by Ms. Konul Nurullayeva (Azerbaijan) with members Major General Idriss Dokony (Chad), Mr. Saeed Abdulghaffar (UAE), Mr. Fares Al Kooheji (Bahrain), and Mr. Oybek Kasimov (Uzbekistan).
The Riyadh 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games are set to welcome athletes from across the Islamic world, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s growing role as a hub for international sporting events.
