Riyadh (Kamran Ashraf) The Saudi capital is preparing to host the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG 2025) from 7 to 21 November 2025, bringing together athletes from 57 member nations of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation.

The Games will feature competitions in 21 sports and 2 para-sports, including athletics, swimming, wrestling, weightlifting, basketball 3×3, futsal, camel racing, e-sports, and para athletics, among others. The event promises a vibrant showcase of talent across both traditional and modern disciplines.

The upcoming edition marks a significant milestone, as the Games return to Saudi Arabia two decades after the first-ever ISG in 2005, which was staged across Mecca, Medina, Jeddah, and Taif. This time, Riyadh will serve as the sole host city, offering world-class venues and facilities to athletes, officials, and fans.

Speaking about the Games, HRH Prince Fahad bin Jalawi Al-Saud, Chairman of ISG Riyadh 2025, reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s commitment: “As we welcome NOCs from across the Islamic world to Riyadh 2025, we reaffirm our unwavering commitment to strengthening the bonds of solidarity and understanding through sport. The return of the Games to Saudi Arabia is a testament to our dedication to fostering a world-class sporting environment that reflects our Kingdom’s rich heritage, progress, and global leadership.”

With thousands of athletes, coaches, and delegations expected, Riyadh 2025 is set to be a landmark celebration of Islamic unity, cultural exchange, and sporting excellence.
