Chasing Afghanistan’s target of 189 runs, the Hong Kong team managed to score 94 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. In the match played in Abu Dhabi, Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan won the toss and decided to bat first against Hong Kong.
Afghanistan scored 188 runs for 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs thanks to the brilliant batting of Siddiqullah and Azmatullah. Siddiqullah stood out for Afghanistan by scoring 73 runs while Azmatullah played a lightning innings of 53 runs off 21 balls. Mohammad Nabi scored 33 runs. In addition, Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 8, Ibrahim Zadran 1, Gulbadin 5 and Karim Jannat scored 2 runs.Ayush Shukla and Kanchit Shah got 2 wickets each for Hong Kong.
