In the fourth match of the Asia Cup T20 tournament 2025, Pakistan made a winning start to the event by defeating Oman by 93 runs in a one-sided encounter. Oman’s team was bowled out for just 67 runs in pursuit of Pakistan’s 161 runs.
Match played in Dubai, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and decided to bat first against Oman. Batting first against Oman, the Green Shirts scored 160 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Mohammad Haris played an innings of 66 runs, Sahibzada Farhan scored 29 runs while Fakhar Zaman scored 23 runs not out. Saim Ayub and captain Salman Ali Agha were out for zero, Mohammad Nawaz scored 19 and Hassan Nawaz scored 9 runs. For Oman, Aamir Kaleem and Shah Faisal got 3 wickets each.
Chasing Pakistan’s target of 161 runs, Oman’s batting line-up could not cope with the Pakistani bowlers and the entire team was bowled out for just 67 runs in the 17th over. Hammad Mirza top-scored for Oman with 27 runs. For Pakistan, Faheem Ashraf, Sufyan Muqim and Saim Ayub got 2 wickets each, while Abrar Ahmed, Muhammad Nawaz and Shaheen Afridi got one wicket each.
