Jaddah(Kamran Ashraf): A unique six-over cricket tournament “6 Overs Cricket Hungama” under the auspices of the Western Provinces Cricket Association (WPCA) will be held in Jeddah on September 23, 2025, on Saudi Arabia’s National Day.Chief Organizer Nadeem Al-Nadawi, while briefing the media and social media, said that 12 teams will participate in this event, out of which two teams will be from Dammam, one from Taif, one from Yanbu, two from Tabuk, and 6 teams from Jeddah.
The special thing about the tournament is that seven international cricketers will also be involved in it. He said that former star all-rounder Abdul Razzaq and fast bowler Umar Gul will be the special guests, while Sohaib Maqsood, Sohail Khan, Sohail Tanvir, Usman Khan, Imad Butt will play as part of the teams directly for the first time.
Nadeem Al-Nadwa said that the event has been named “Cricket Hungama” because the rules of the game have been arranged in a unique way, such as 10 runs for hitting a six, 6 runs for a four, while 2 runs will be given for white and no balls to make the matches more exciting and high-scoring.
He said that a special draw has also been held for spectators, through which cricket fans will have the opportunity to win valuable prizes. The winning team of the event will be awarded a prize of 30,000 Saudi riyals.
