In the first semi-final of the Rising Stars Asia Cup, Bangladesh qualified for the final by defeating India in Super Over. In the first semi-final of the Rising Stars Asia Cup, Bangladesh A batted first and scored 194 runs for 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. In reply to the target, the Indian team needed 4 runs off the last ball to win the match, however, due to an overthrow, the Indian batsmen scored 3 runs and the match was tied.

The match was decided by Super Over in which both the batsmen of the Indian team were dismissed for zero in the first 2 balls and Bangladesh got only one run target to go to the final. In reply, the Bangladesh team defeated India A by one run in the semi-final and qualified for the final. The decision of the other finalist team will be made after the match between Pakistan A and Sri Lanka A.
