Sri Lanka has set Pakistan a target of 185 runs to win in the tri-nation T20 series match. Pakistan won the toss and elected to field against Sri Lanka in the match being played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. Batting first, Sri Lanka scored 184 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Kamil Mishara and Kaushal Mendis were outstanding for Sri Lanka with 76 and 40 runs respectively, while Dasan Shanaka remained not out with 17 runs. Abrar Ahmed got 2 wickets for Pakistan, while Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Saim Ayub got one wicket each.
For Pakistan, Salman Ali Agha scored 63, Usman Khan 33, Saim Ayub and Muhammad Nawaz 33 and were outstanding. It was very important for Sri Lanka to win this match. After today’s victory, there will be a decisive match against Pakistan on November 29. If Sri Lanka loses, then the teams of Pakistan and Zimbabwe will play the final of the Tri-Nation Series.
