The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced that it will stand by its decision not to send its team to India for the T20 World Cup. The board has made it clear that it will not reconsider its stance regarding participation in the tournament in India. According to sources, a meeting between Bangladesh’s Sports Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul and the national players has concluded. Following the meeting, Dr. Asif Nazrul announced that the Bangladesh team will not travel to India for the World Cup.

The Sports Adviser stated, “We want to play, and we still hope that the ICC will accept our position.” He added, “We are firm on our stance. Our team faces security concerns in India. The ICC has not acknowledged our reservations, and the Indian government has not made any serious effort to convince us. We requested that the matches be held under a hybrid model. We want to participate in the World Cup, but the venue should be Sri Lanka.”
