Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has said that the decision regarding Pakistan’s participation in the T20 World Cup will be made by the Government of Pakistan. While speaking to the media in Lahore, Mohsin Naqvi stated that the ICC is ultimately subject to governments, and therefore the final decision about participation in the T20 World Cup will rest with the Pakistani government. He added that Bangladesh is being treated unfairly and should be part of the T20 World Cup. Bangladesh is an equal member of the ICC, and if India was given favorable treatment in Pakistan’s case, then Bangladesh should also be granted the same consideration.
He said this reflects a double standard, adding that no country has the right to dictate terms to another. If dictation continues, Pakistan also has its own stance and will stand firmly by it. Mohsin Naqvi further said that he could not go into details at the moment, but when the need arises, he will explain everything. Responding to a question, he said that a decision was taken on May 10, but it has not yet been seen what developments will follow.
