T20 World Cup: Indian batting line flops, Defeated by 76 runs.

In the ICC T20 World Cup, South Africa defeated India by 76 runs in the Group One match of the Super Eight stage. In the match played in Ahmedabad, South Africa won the toss and decided to bat first. Batting first, South Africa scored 187 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. For South Africa, David Miller scored 63, Dewald Brasvis scored 45 and Stubbs scored 44 runs. For India, Jasprit Bumrah took three wickets and Arshdeep Singh took two wickets.

Chasing a target of 188 runs, the Indian batting line flopped badly. Indian batter Dube top-scored with 42 runs, Hardik Pandya and Surya Kumariadeo scored 18 runs each. Apart from them, no Indian batsman could show a remarkable performance and the entire team was dismissed for 111 runs in the 19th over. Marco Jensen took 4 wickets for South Africa, Keshav Maharaj took 3 wickets and Karbin Bosh took 2 wickets. It is worth noting that this is the first defeat for the Indian team in the T20 World Cup after 12 consecutive victories. The defending champion India team has been undefeated since all the matches of the 2024 World Cup. Before that, it was last defeated by England by 10 wickets in the 2022 World Cup semi-final.
