Pakistan Defeated Australia by 5 Wickets

In the first match of the three-match ODI series, Pakistan defeated Australia by 5 wickets. In the match played in Rawalpindi, Pakistan won the toss against Australia and decided to field first. The entire Australian team was dismissed for 200 runs in the 45th over against Pakistan. For Australia, Matthew Ranshaw scored 61 runs, Matthew Short scored 55 runs. Matthew Cohenman played an innings of 24 runs. For Pakistan, debutant Arafat Minhas got 5 wickets for 32 runs. Apart from them, Abrar Ahmed got 2 wickets while captain Shaheen Afridi, Salman Agha and Haris Rauf got one wicket each.


Pakistan achieved the target of 201 runs in the 43rd over for the loss of 5 wickets. Babar Azam and Ghazi Ghauri were prominent for Pakistan by scoring 69 and 65 runs. Apart from them, Sahibzada Farhan scored 28 and Arafat Minhas scored 18 runs. Pakistan has taken a one-nil lead in the three-match series. The second ODI of the series will be played in Lahore on June 2.
