Cape Town: Pakistan opener Saim Ayub has been out of cricket for several weeks due to a fractured right ankle. Saim was taken to hospital after he sprained his ankle while fielding in the first day of the second Test against South Africa.
Saim Ayub’s MRI report has confirmed the fracture and doctors have advised him to rest for 6 weeks. He may not be able to participate in the Champions Trophy. According to the sources, Saim Ayub will remain with the team and will return home with the team after the test.
