Multan, Pakistan – England’s bowlers dominated the morning session on Day 2, but Pakistan’s lower order fought back, stretching their first innings to 358/8 at lunch.

Aamer Jamal (37*) and Noman Ali (24*) shared a crucial 49-run ninth-wicket stand, despite Jamal struggling with hip issues. Earlier, Brydon Carse removed Mohammad Rizwan (41), while Jack Leach took his third wicket, dismissing Sajid Khan.

England’s bowlers made early breakthroughs, but Pakistan’s Agha Salman countered with two boundaries off Carse. Matthew Potts replaced Carse, only to concede two more fours to Salman.

Ben Stokes’ tactical move to add a gully paid off as Potts extracted extra bounce, dismissing Salman. However, Jamal and Noman’s unbeaten partnership steadied Pakistan
