India ended Australia’s 14-year dominance in the Champions Trophy.

Today, the second semi-final will be played between New Zealand and South Africa.

The Indian cricket team finally defeated Australia after 14 years in the knockout competition of the ICC tournaments. In the first semi-final of the Champions Trophy held in Dubai on Tuesday, India qualified for the final after defeating Australia by 4 wickets.

India chased down Australia’s target of 265 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in the 49th over to qualify for the final. Earlier, India’s last win against Australia in an ICC knockout competition was in the quarter-finals of the 2011 ODI World Cup.

Talking about the knockout matches of the ICC tournaments, India and Australia have faced each other 8 times in which both the teams have won 4 and 4 matches respectively.
