India defeated South Africa to win the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup. The final of the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup was played between India and South Africa in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday.
In the final, the South African team won the toss and decided to bat first but failed to score big in front of the Indian bowlers. South African women’s team was bowled out for 82 runs in 20 overs.
The Indian women’s team easily achieved the target of 83 runs for the loss of one wicket in the twelfth over. Gongadi Trisha remained unbeaten with 44 and Sanika 26 runs.
The Indian women’s team defeated South Africa by 9 wickets in the final and won the Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup title for the second time consecutively. The Indian Women’s team also won the ICC Women’s Under-19 T20 World Cup in 2023.
