by Shahrooz Ahmad

It has been decided to add 2 more teams to the Pakistan Super League. PSL CEO Salman Naseer told the media that we can get 2 more teams for PSL by the end of the year. Currently, there are 6 teams in the PSL, including Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United, Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators and Multan Sultans. After the inclusion of 2 more teams, the number of PSL teams will increase to 8.

PSL CEO Salman Naseer further said that this league was started at a time when cricket was not being played in Pakistan, which was a challenge to bring back to the country, and now that we have succeeded in this, our next goal is to hold matches in other cities besides these four cities of Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi and Multan. PSL 2026 matches will also be held in other new cities including Peshawar.

The PSL CEO did not say who the other two teams joining the PSL would be and what their names would be.
