Pakistan Test team captain Babar Azam has said that there is nothing wrong with dropping a senior player, and whoever is good for the team will play. Speaking at a press conference in London ahead of the second Test, Babar Azam said it is true that wickets fall suddenly after a good partnership. “We are trying to fix this flaw. What happens is that when a new batter comes to the crease, the set batter gets out.”
Babar Azam said that there is grass visible on the pitch and the playing XI decision will be made later. “No player is unimportant. Sometimes a player is given a chance to build confidence. There is no pressure on Rizwan.” The Test captain added that the entire playing XI has responsibility. “It can’t be that bowlers take 20 wickets and batters do nothing.” Babar also said that he is fully fit and will be in action in the Lord’s Test. “We will try to complete a hat-trick of wins at Lord’s.”
