Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 7 wickets to complete a clean sweep in the final match of the three-match T20 series. In the match played in Lahore, Pakistan won the toss and decided to field. Batting first, Bangladesh scored 196 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Bangladesh got off to a great start, with Parvez Hossain and Tanzeed Hasan laying a very solid foundation of 110 runs. Tanzeed was dismissed for 42 and Parvez for 66, but the batsmen who followed could not make a big score. Liton Das scored 22 and Tohid Haridwari scored 25 runs, Bangladesh’s score was 196 runs for 6 wickets.
For Pakistan, Hasan Ali got 2 wickets for 38 runs, Abbas Afridi got two wickets for 26 runs. Chasing 197 runs, Sahibzada Farhan was out in the first over, but then Muhammad Haris added runs with Saim Ayub, Saim hit four sixes and scored 45 runs off 29 balls. Then came Hassan Nawaz and he also scored 26 runs off 13 balls. Haris scored his first century of his career, becoming the first batsman to score a century in T20Is, apart from opening for Pakistan.
Pakistan reached the target in the 18th over for three wickets and completed a clean sweep of the three-match series. Mohammad Haris remained unbeaten on 107 runs and Salman Agha remained unbeaten on 15 runs.
