In the first match of the tri-nation series, New Zealand has won the toss and decided to bat first against the host Pakistan. In the match being played at Gaddafi Stadium, New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner has won the toss and decided to bat first.

Mitchell Santner said that the wicket looks favourable for batting, so he decided to bat first, while Pakistani captain Muhammad Rizwan said that if we had won the toss, we would have batted first.

The Pakistani team includes Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, Muhammad Rizwan, Salman Ali Agha, Tayyab Tahir, Khush dil Shah, Shaheen Afridi, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf and Abrar Ahmed.
